In the last two years we’ve had 98/93 entries and only 1 Best of Show rosette — the competition is GREAT! There will be first, second, and third place winners in each of six categories: travel, celebrations, pets, heritage, family, and slice of life.

Ohio State Fair – Artist in Residence!
Noreen has been selected to be an Artist in Residence at the OFS on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011! She will be scrapbooking and talking with fair goers from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Noreen will also be leading the Kids Craft for the day!!!

Gena came to have her 3 winning pages scanned as well as Mom, Kathy’s, one page. What a creative family AND they are blessed with a supportive husband/dad. It was so nice to meet you in person. Dawn and Susan emailed pictures of their award winning pages to be included here. THANK YOU all for sharing and for giving SNC permission to display your winning entries.
The following pictures show most of the scrapbooking display and winners of the 2009 Ohio State Fair’s Scrapbooking competition. This was a terrific experience for the competitors as well as the judges. There were 52 entries within the 5 categories and 16 ribbons were awarded. Winners came from four Ohio counties: Auglaize, Fairfield, Franklin, and Hamilton. There were a total of 18 people who entered pages and they were all 12″ x 12″ one or two page spreads.
Watch www.ohiostatefair.com for next year’s competition rules and registration. There is a change in categories for 2010. They are Family, Heritage, Travel, Pets, and Other. Scrap-n-Country’s goal is to have at least one entry from each of the 88 counties within the decade. So please help spread the word and keep the OSF in mind as you work on your pages this winter!
